Between Peterborough & Stamford.

I would like someone to confirm that this is Bainton Gate station. There is no reason to suggest it isn't. It just surprises me that a station building is still there over 150 years after it closed.

A lovely little country station, exactly how I would picture one.

Last station before Stamford. South would take you to Wansford.

After Barnack heading south.

No station building, however the platform is still fully intact, albeit heavily overgrown.

Looking in the opposite direction.

My car is on the track bed. Marvellous!!!

On the Sandy - Bedford line

A delightfully preserved private property and now surrounded by houses where it once stood on it's own.

Round the back where the line once ran.

Again on the Sandy - Bedford Line.

As with Ufford Bridge, only the platform remains. At least it's not been wiped off the planet completely.

At the other end of the platform.

On the Thetford - Swaffham line.

Another delightfully preserved private dwelling.

On the Huntingdon - Kettering line.

Yet another perfectly preserved private residence.
