Wolferton - 10 Feb 08 - Closed 69
On the Kings Lynn - Hunstanton line.
This is the best preserved
station in the whole of the country without a shadow of a doubt, end
of story, that's all she wrote!! |

This was the royal station for
Sandringham and probably why it's so grand. |

I'm so grateful that it has been
preserved. It really is a sight to behold. |

Wolferton - 10 Feb 08 - Closed 69
The signal boxes and railway
cottages are there in all their glory as well. |

Wolferton - 10 Feb 08 - Closed 69
Even the lamps are in regal
splendour.
If you are ever up that way I
beg you to take a small detour off the main Hunstanton road and have
a look. You will not be disappointed, I promise you. |

Stretham - 16 March 08 - Closed 31
First station after Ely on the St
Ives branch.
The main station building to the
right has been demolished and replaced with a new building and the
platform has gone but you can see were it once was. What I like is
that the canopy came out out a lot further but I guess tall vehicles
need to get by, so it's been shortened and instead of being totally
removed which is a nice touch.
To the top left of the building
is a "you may telephone from here" sign in Great Eastern blue.
Magnificent!! |

Sutton (Cambs) - 16 March 08 - Closed
31 Also on the Ely - St
Ives branch.
Looking east.
The platforms are all that remain
and are heavily overgrown, however they are still there and in my
book is absolutely brilliant. |
