Washingborough - Closed 40

Last station before Lincoln on the Boston Line.

I don't think it's that long since the former station building was occupied.

Washingborough - Closed 40

Looking along the platform towards Lincoln. As you can see the trackbed is now a walk way.

Freight went through here until 81.

Wickenby - Closed 65

South of Market Rasen on the open Cleethorpes line.

Wickenby - Closed 65

Richard Watson FROW MBE the station master and eminent bee keeper lived here.

Withcall - Closed 51

On the Bardney - Louth Branch.

Only the platform remains......

Withcall - Closed 51

..... However personally I think seeing a platform is much better than a station house. A platform is the ultimate proof that a station was once there.

Notice how the platform curves round.

Woodhall Junction - Closed 70

On the Great Northern Loop looking south.

Another fantastically preserved station.

Wragby - Closed 51

What can I say. Another brilliantly preserved station right on the main road.

A platform side view.

Wragby - Closed 51

And the station entrance side.

All in all, that was one fantastic honeymoon.

Oh Yeah!!
