Banavie Pier - 29 June 06 - Closed 39 I got a right result here. I was in the area and discovered there was a terminus here by the Caledonian canal and I found it within 5 minutes. It's now a private residence |

Banavie Pier - 29 June 06 - Closed 39 A close up of the wonderfully preserved platform. A terminus just after Fort William, but was made pretty redundant when the line was extended to Mallaig. The still open Banavie station is only a 5 minute walk away. |

West Grinstead - 26 March 06 - Closed
66 Now part of the Downs link, a cycle path on the closed railways Guildford - Shoreham. The platforms have deliberately been preserved. Quite delightful! |

Cardiff Bute Road (now Cardiff Bay) - 5 August 06 - Still
open The building is no longer in use and sadly looks an eyesore. However is it a Grade 2 listed building, so hopefully it will get restored one day. See Now & Then for more photos. |

Bradford Exchange (1st station) - Circa
72? - Closed 14 Jan 73 This is a brilliant photo. I didn't even realise the station was re-sited. The original station consisted of 10 platforms and was modelled on London Kings Cross, however by the 70s' it was considered to big and a smaller 4 platform station (left) was built. Hardly anything remains of the original station. A big thanks to Nigel (Shedcat) for supplying the photo and the owner for allowing it to be shown here |

Spean Bridge (Fort Augustus branch
platform) - 24 June 06 - Closed 1933 I wasn't too sure why this platform was here until I did some research. My knowledge on the highland railways isn't too hot! |

Felixstowe Beach - Nov 86 - Closed 67 This photo is in my unknown stations section as I didn't have a clue where it was. The station building was demolished in 2004 against a big outcry from the locals as it was deemed unsafe by the council. |

Ballachulish - 6 Nov 06 - Closed 66 Another station I sussed out when I was up visiting my friends in this wonderful part of Scotland. This was the terminus on a branch off the Oban line. Only the station building survives, which is now a medical centre. Brilliant!! |

Ballachulish - 6 Nov 06 - Closed 66 The station (now medical centre) entrance. |

North Woolwich - May 85 - Closed 9 Dec
06 My Mother and I with an unidentified EMU (probably a class 416 EPB). I believe the station had recently been refurbished and looking quite delightful.
