A class 31 in the foreground. Not too sure where this junction is, but if any one could set me right?

Keith Williams has very kindly provided the following info about this junction.

The Norwich area Sept 83 pic is Thorpe junction, the engine is coming from the London, Ely line into Norwich and the tracks the other way go to Lowestoft, Sheringham and Yarmouth. Crown Point Depot can be seen behind the signalbox. This box is no longer there as Colchester now work Norwich. They work as far as Wymondham on Ely line and just couple miles to wards Whitlingham where Trowse Swingbridge takes over. I think the below pic in Norfolk is Wymondham signalbox with a line going to Dereham which is privately owned.

A Metro Cammell DMU. Again not too sure where in Norwich, but as above if any one would be good enough to set me straight I would be grateful.

EMU 302 259. this class was specifically used on the Fenchurch St - Shoeburyness line, although some of this class were also allocated to Ilford for the Liverpool St - Southend Victoria service.
