Knottingley - Feb 83 A class 56 loco #56 110. These were the relatively new boys to the loco fleet back in my day, introduced in 1976. |

Knottingley - Feb 83 Maybe not a busy station for passengers, but certainly for freight traffic. A class 08 shunter beside some coal wagons. |
Leeds - 31 Oct 84 A class 141 Leyland / BREL Railbus |
Tynemouth - Dec 84 See disused stations for the abandoned BR platforms. They really are quite spiffing as I'm sure you will agree or your money back! I originally had this as Monors - Cheers to Colin Alexander for putting me right. |
Middlesbrough - Sept 85 A Metro Cammell DMU. For such a big town its quite amazing that its train services are mainly local. |
Newcastle - 21 August 85 Me by Tyne with the Swing Bridge and High Level Bridge (with a 2 car DMU crossing) in the background. We were waiting for the Bernie Inn to open (I had Melon for starters!) before heading on to St James Park for Newcastle v Luton. |

Newcastle - 21 August 85 Yet another Metro Cammell Dmu. |
Newton Aycliffe - End 87 A rather basic looking station, with a class 143 Alexander / Barclay Railbus #143 00? |
Penistone - Sept 84 Now just has the Barnsley - Huddersfield line. Hadfield to Sheffield Victoria (The Woodhead line) closed for passengers in 1964. Freight did continue for a while, however now I believe most of the track has been lifted. See Disused Railways for the Woodhead platforms. |
Poppleton - 20 Sept 82 A quaint station on the Harrogate line. |
