Blaenau Ffestiniog - 31 August 83
A class 47 loco getting ready to
attach itself to the coaches for its return journey. A Ffestiniog
narrow gauge train is on the left.
This is the new station, having
opened a year earlier to house both railway lines. |
Borth - August 86
The lifted line gives the station a very
derelict look. This is the only open intermediate station on the
Aberystwyth line. |
Caerphily - March 85
I distinctly remembering taking this
photo. I was trying to go for that arty look. Did I succeed? Nope! |
Cardiff Central - 28 Sept 82
A class 37 loco hauling freight.
I don't have to put the station
names in Welsh as well do I? |
Cardiff Central - 28 Sept 82
Purely added for the buffet sign. A
good ol' British Rail station buffet. It's all franchised nowadays. |
Cardiff Central - 28 Sept 82
An HST with a Derby class 116 DMU. |
Cardiff Central - 28 Sept 82
Another Class 37 loco hauling
freight. |
Cardiff Queen Street - March 85
Another Derby class 116 DMU. |
Cardiff Queen Street - March 85
The same DMU. I was going for that
arty shot again. |
Carmarthen - July 85
A class 33 loco running light.
This station is now a terminus.
It used to have two services heading north - Aberystwyth closed 65 &
Llandelio closed 63. Wales used to have so many lines but not
anymore. |
