Morcambe - August 87
A class 47 loco.
From the photos the station seems to be a
lot bigger than I remember. |
 |
|
Nantwich - Dec 84
The line from Wellington (Salop) joined
here until it closed in 1963. |
 |
|
Nelson - 13 July 83
The last stop before Colne.
Apparently this line
was removed many years ago when when singling took place from Gannow
Junction (Rose Grove) to Chaffers just east of Nelson. The trackbed
is now heavily overgrown. Thanks to Paul again for the update. |

Old Roan - August 85
A Merseyrail class 508 EMU #508 140.
The station is in Aintree
village.
My father said the station was
named after a horse that won the national. It is in fact named after
a pub. See, parents do tell fibs!!! |

Ormskirk - 25 April 84
Where electric meets diesel! The non
electrified part goes to Preston. The electrified line (with the
Class 508 EMU) goes to Liverpool. Apparently the station still has
the same arrangement. How queer! |
